Application of Plant Waxes in Edible Coatings

چکیده
The aim of the paper is to present edible coatings based on lipids and their application in food industry. Therefore, this discusses following: different types plant waxes; need for advantages disadvantages applied industry; most popular Carnauba wax; Candelilla Wax composition coatings. Plant waxes are presented with specific characteristics. Moreover, cuticle obtained from waste peels fresh fruits vegetables presented; properties waxes. In regard, an effective applicable method industrial extraction/separation wax before processing (production wine, high-alcohol beverages, fruit-sugar preserves, vegetable juices, etc.) proposed. Properties possible applications isolated presented.
